Community Meal

There are 11 churches or organizations that take turns providing a hot meal every Saturday at the First Baptist Church on Park Ave. and Harney St. They are for the needy in the Park East Area. There are a lot of low income housing and Omaha Housing Authority apartments nearby. It helps people to stretch their food farther, and they get a hot meal and fellowship every Saturday. The Mosaic Group has brought the churches together and helped organize it. St. Peter Catholic Church and the St. Vincent DePaul Society put on a meal about every 11 weeks.

The next Community Meals will be February 20th, May 1st, July 10th, September 18th.
The hours for that are 11:00am - 1:00pm.
