Faith In Leadership
Students have many opportunities to grow in leadership:
The M.O.B. (Men of Benedict) is the official Youth Group of Mount Michael High School. This group began in the Fall of 2008 with the quote from the late, great John Paul II, "Be Not Afraid." This phrase encapsulated what the young men here at Mt. Michael desired to promote in regards to their faith. The main purpose of the M.O.B. youth group is to provide opportunities for young men to actively learn about their Catholic/Christian faith and put it into practice. The Men of Benedict meet regularly to pray, plan Eucharistic celebrations, rosaries, adoration services.
The St. Benedict Award will be awarded to a Mount Michael High School Catholic senior who has shown exceptional leadership in Campus Ministry.
Seniors will actively participate in Morning Prayer. All seniors are expected to write their prayers in advance and read them for Morning Prayer. Seniors will write a reflection to be put on the Campus Ministry board during Advent, Lent, and for some important feasts and solemnities of the Liturgical Year.
EMHC Program (Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion) Once a year Mount Michael Benedictine High School sends students to receive training and to the Mandation ceremony. Students are usually Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors for two years.
