1. AP EXAMS: Advanced Placement Exams will continue through next week, May 14-17. Please contact Mary Ann Maier with questions at mmaier@mountmichael.org.
Here is the schedule for AP Exams for Week 2:
· May 14th at 8:00 a.m. AP Biology
· May 14th at noon Honors Physics B
· May 15th at noon Honors French Language
· May 16th at 8:00 a.m. AP English Language and Composition
· May 17th at 8:00 a.m. AP Macroeconomics
· May 17th at noon AP Microeconomics
2. ALL SCHOOL MASS: On Thursday, May 17 is the Feast of the Ascension. We will be using the in-service schedule. All students and faculty report to the chapel for Mass at 10:10 a.m.
3. THANK YOU: A big thank you to Dr. John and Pat Drahota for hosting the Freshman Class Party on Wednesday night! The boys had a great time swimming, playing volleyball and roasting s’mores to celebrate having the most parent sign-ups for Night of Knights. Thanks to Mr. Cormier and Mr. Luettel for transporting and supervising the boys.
4. FINALS SCHEDULE: Final exams begin Monday, May 21. Please see the attached schedule for further details.
5. DEAN SURVEYS: Dean surveys were e-mailed to all families early this week. If you have time to complete the survey, we would truly appreciate your input.
6. BASEBALL FUNDRAISER: The Mount Michael Knights Legion Baseball team is sponsoring a Poker Night. This night of socializing and card playing is set for Saturday, May 19th. The Texas Hold-Em tournament begins at 6:00 p.m. in the student dining room. Please see the attached flyer for more details.
7. MM GOLF CLASSIC: Join us for the Mount Michael Benedictine Memorial Golf Classic on Friday, June 1, 2012 at Tiburon Golf Club. This year, the tournament will be played in memory of Alan Kindler, Class of ’92. Proceeds from the tournament help to fund the Fr. Benedict Dohle Scholarship. 8. CLASS REUNIONS: The St John's and Mount Michael Benedictine Annual 5 Year Reunion will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Mount Michael Benedictine Abbey and School for the classes of 1957, 1962, 1967, 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, 2002, 2007. 9. BOOKSTORE NEWS: Book Lists for 2012-2013: Please find attached the book lists and fees, per grade level, for 2012-2013. Any questions to Mary Ann Maier at: mmaier@mountmichael.org.
The Book Store is now accepting donations of any used textbooks in good condition.
Book Store Hours are: Tuesdays and Thursdays 11 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Wednesdays 2:00 - 7:30 p.m. and Monday and Fridays by request or special arrangements can be made by contacting Mary Ann Maier at: mmaier@mountmichael.org. Thank you for all of your support!
10. KICKBALL TOURNAMENT: Relive the glory days on Saturday, June 16 for the Third Annual Cornerstone Kickball Tournament, sponsored by Cornerstone Uniform. Bring the whole family and spend a day in the sun with great food, music and a healthy dose of friendly competition. The tournament begins at 9 a.m. on the St. Elizabeth Ann Soccer Fields.
